Christopher Heal Chest of Drawers
Designed by Christopher J Heal and made by William Birch of High Wycombe, this small set of drawers is an important piece of design history. In exceptionally good condition.
A timelessly stylish piece, veneered in teak, it's from a series of pieces designed and initially made from 1949-1950, an example of which is held by the V&A Museum in London due to its importance.

Christopher J Heal was the youngest son of Ambrose Heal and became Design Director of the business shortly after designing this range of furniture. Together with his older brother, Anthony, they revolutionised British furniture design and introduced styles such as Mid Century Modern, Scandinavian design and 1960s Pop to British shoppers.
