Champagne Harvest Basket
Early 20th century champagne harvest basket from the Reims region of France. Used for transporting the picked grapes during harvest season, baskets like this are very strong and sturdy and lend themselves perfectly to now being used as a feature log basket by a large open fire or log burner.
With original colouring and vineyard labelling, this one also features four handles as opposed to the normal two, making it a rare and desirable example.
In heavy cane with slatted base.
Early 20th century, France.
