A 20th century timber shipwright's tool chest with provenance. Hand-painted label for "G. Williams Ship.wt" and stamped "HMS NEPTUNE", most likely for the Leander-class light cruiser, launched in 1933 and infamously sunk in a minefield off Tripoli in 1941. Removable inner tray and original paintwork and handles. Later applied paper label for the Union Castle Line.
