Antique Field Cupboard
An interesting cupboard in mahogany and pine. Likely a ‘field’ or campaign cupboard as it features small brass ringlets on either side, believed to be used with poles for lifting and carrying the top section. Possibly used by an explorer or such like!
With single central panelled door with an additional liftable top to the upper section and two panelled doors with shelved interior to the lower section. All doors with original brass latches. The two sections can be secured by way of old screw holes. The mahogany has a lovely rich colour and has taken on a good patina. 19th century.
